Xuchuan Chemical plans to start the second phase of its Jiangsu Suzhou plant in 2018.
Xuchuan Chemical produces polyurethane resins, polyurethane adhesives, polyurethane elastomers, and polyester polyols.
The target total capacity of the second-phase project is 280,000 tons / year. Xuchuan Chemical Intermediate Plant General Manager Zhang Weidong said that the annual output will be between 100,000 and 200,000 tons per year. The project started trial operation in April this year.
The plant is located in Suzhou, where the company's headquarters is located. Currently has 150,000 tons / year of starting equipment. Xuchuan has four other plants of similar size in the Yangtze River Delta. The company claims to be one of the largest polyurethane leather resin producers in China.
Zhang said that the company's revenue last year was 1.5 billion yuan ($ 219 million), a single-digit increase compared to 2016. Without the impact of the price war in the Chinese market, growth could be even higher.
