On July 2nd, China SGJT Special Steel Technology Group won an order for nearly 40,000 tons of offshore steel from the Arctic Circle LNG 2 project and became the only supplier of such steel in China.
Currently, it is being shipped one after another. Prior to this international order, SGJT had supplied 6 series of more than 80 specifications of European-standard series of low-temperature resistant offshore steel with 75,000 tons to the Russian Yamal project in the Arctic Circle. In view of this supply performance, the owner designated SGJT as the sole supplier of the LNG2 project.
The Arctic Circle LNG2 project is the second large-scale liquefied natural gas project jointly developed and constructed by the China-Russia “Belt and Road” after the Yamal Project. It is located in the Gdan Peninsula of the Russian Arctic and has a designed annual output of 19.8 million tons of liquefied natural gas. This project is also the second major international offshore project undertaken by SGJT in recent years.
In April 2019, after the Russian Arctic LNG2 project was launched, the sales staff of SGJT Marketing Corporation actively approached users and became the only supplier. The first order supply contract was signed in October 2019.
As of June 20, SGJT has delivered a total of 15,000 tons of steel profiles of 57 specifications and 4 series for the Arctic Circle LNG2 project, involving 15,000 tons of thick and thick plate products with more than 100 specifications and more than 500 Tons broadband products.
