China's special steel, vanadium-titanium steel material leader SCPG cold-rolled production line successfully trial-produced hot-dip galvanized aluminum-magnesium alloy coated steel plates for the first time in batches. Zinc-aluminum-magnesium alloy coated steel sheet is mainly used in the construction industry due to its excellent corrosion resistance, good formability, weldability, appearance and decoration, etc., and it is gradually being promoted and applied to household appliances and automobile manufacturing industries.
Some global renowned steel companies began to study this type of steel sheet in the 1980s, and industrialized production and application have been realized in the early 21st century. At present, only a few companies in China have launched hot-dip galvanized aluminum-magnesium alloy coated steel sheets.
