ZCZG and the South China Sea Branch of the State Oceanic Administration signed a supply agreement for marine titanium alloy pipes. The products provided will be used for seismic observation wells in Yongxing Island, Meiji Reef, and Qinbi Reef. This is the first time that the 400MPa grade titanium alloy independently developed by the company has been supplied in the form of pipes.
It is reported that the product provided by this contract has large specifications, high accuracy requirements, and requires convenient pipe connection and good sealing performance. The R & D staff of the comapny repeatedly communicated with the design unit and construction unit, provided various material technical solutions such as material selection and connection method improvement, and finally won user approval with data and comprehensive and detailed solutions. This contract is the first time that the research results of the major basic scientific research project undertaken by the company have realized product transformation, and it has integrated its own developed high-pressure sealed connection technology.
Since the beginning of this year, the ZCZG has closely followed the South China Sea construction project, conducted multiple technical exchanges with the South China Sea Branch of the State Oceanic Administration, and the Guangzhou Regional Survey Bureau, and signed a cooperative technical agreement with the South China Sea Investigation Center of the State Oceanic Administration to address the corrosion resistance of marine engineering Material requirements, carry out research and development of a variety of titanium alloy products and equipment. After the signing of this contract, the institute will provide tailor made products for Nanhai Construction, helping marine construction and solidify our borders.
