Composite pressure vessel manufacturers AGM and Infinite Composites have jointly developed composite pressure vessels suitable for specific space applications

The designers, developers and manufacturers of composite pressure vessels AGM and Infinite Composites have jointly developed composite technology suitable for specific space applications.

Infinite Composites has integrated AGM's graphene technology into two resin systems for cryogenic pressure vessels. The system has been considered for multiple NASA space missions, including the International Space Station Experiment (MISSE), Artemis and Lunar Gateway. material. As part of a long-term partnership between AGM and Infinite Composites, the product was obtained after extensive product development and rigorous testing procedures. The Infinite Composites team is the recipient of the recently prestigious SBIR NASA award, dedicated to the continuous development of its cryogenic pressure vessel system for space applications.

The addition of AGM graphene technology enables the storage tank to complete its first liquid oxygen load test at a pressure of -300F to 600 psi. Analysis of the structure of the composite material using scanning electron microscopy showed that the addition of graphene technology eliminated almost all of the micro-cracks of the resin sample after exposure to extreme low temperature environments compared to the control sample.

These results again demonstrate the ability of AGM technology to effectively manage the fracture toughness and robustness of composite structures to achieve long-term durability.

Matt Villarreal, founder and CEO of Infinite Composites, commented: "We are fortunate to have a great company like AGM as part of the Infinite Composites supply chain for innovative graphene materials. Customization integrated into our two resin systems Dispersing graphene materials simplifies the use process to ensure quality, and the performance of repeatable structures is critical to the market in which we operate. "

AGM CEO Adrian Potts commented: "I am very pleased to see the success of Infinite Composites by integrating AGM's graphene technology into the most demanding composite applications. This result truly proves our years with their team The collaboration provides significant performance enhancements for its specific applications and reflects AGM ’s commitment to strong product development and product integration tailored to customer systems.

AGM is honored to be able to work with the Infinite Composites team to carry out exciting development work to support the future of space flight and sustainable transportation. In such demanding applications where failure cannot be avoided, it is gratifying that our graphene dispersions are driving the performance of composite materials. We congratulate the Infinite Composites team and look forward to contributing to further success. "
