Continuous carbon fiber 3D printing equipment manufacturer:AREVO launched the Aqua 2 3D high-speed printer system, which can be used to print large-format continuous carbon fiber parts

With the maturity of 3D printer-related technologies, some application fields have begun to pursue more efficient additive manufacturing methods to meet the needs of large-scale manufacturing.

Recently, the American company AREVO announced the launch of the Aqua 2 3D printer system, which focuses on printing large-format continuous carbon fiber parts. According to reports, the printing speed of the new 3D printer system is four times that of its predecessor, which is more competitive.

Founded in 2014, AREVO is located in Silicon Valley, a famous technology mecca in the United States, and is famous for its continuous carbon fiber 3D printing technology. The company is the first to release a series of FFF/FDM composite materials, which are said to be five times stronger than titanium and can enhance the strength of polymer 3D printed products.

Subsequently, AREVO developed a portfolio of 3D printing software and systems to create a scalable robot-based additive manufacturing platform. The platform's multi-axis toolpath allows it to change the extrusion direction, thereby optimizing the strength and appearance of 3D printed parts. The company now uses the additive manufacturing platform to manufacture 3D printed bicycle frames with California manufacturer Franco Bicycles. Its 3D printing technology reduces the delivery time of bicycle printed parts.

Recently, AREVO also cooperated with the start-up Superstrata to print carbon fiber composite frames for its upcoming electric bicycles. Utilizing its continuous composite 3D printing technology and Aqua2 3D printer, AREVO can fix the various parts of the bicycle together without glue or welding, so it has strong impact resistance. This bike reached the initial goal of $100,000 in less than 3 minutes after the crowdfunding campaign started. AREVO said it is expected to receive more than $5 million from more than 3,000 supporters.
