Continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic sheet (CFRTP) material supplier Suprem expands production

The technology can now be used to process customized combinations of fiber-reinforced materials and high-performance thermoplastic composites to meet market applications from marine to aerospace.

Suprem SA's thermoplastic prepreg technology will now support large-scale automated additive manufacturing of composite parts.

According to Suprem, mechanical and process innovations have been industrialized to produce large quantities of high-quality unidirectional (UD) tapes and profiles.

Suprem stated that its continuous fiber-reinforced thermoplastic prepreg tapes and profiles are specifically used for the winding molding of pipes and storage tanks with high burst pressure, tape laying with in-situ consolidated components, and 3D printing of complex and lightweight components.

Custom combinations of fibers (carbon, glass, and aramid) and high-performance thermoplastic materials (from PA to PEEK) can now be processed using this technology to meet customer needs in applications ranging from marine to aerospace.
