In recent years, Covestro has developed a new polyurethane material, branded Baymedix®, which is used in wound care and as a raw material for wound dressings, which can accelerate wound healing and a range of design options. These materials are used in a variety of applications, such as absorbent foams made from Baymedix® FP, adhesives made from Baymedix® A, and films made from water-based products Baymedix® FD and CD.
Covestro recently focused on the application of medical textile coatings such as surgical gowns, medical mattresses, medical furniture coatings and bandages. From November 14th to 17th, at the upcoming pharmaceutical raw materials exhibition in Dusseldorf, Germany, Covestro will exhibit sustainable water-based textile coatings with good touch and disinfectant resistance. These materials are also suitable for latex-free elastic self-adhesive bandages.
Covestro will also exhibit material solutions for thermoplastic polyurethane films and high-performance plastic polycarbonate (PC) to meet the needs of medical technology manufacturers and patients.
