Today, Covestro successfully completed the acquisition of the resin and functional materials business (RFM) of the Dutch Royal DSM Group. The acquisition significantly expanded Covestro's product portfolio in the field of sustainable coating resins, making it one of the world's leading suppliers in this high-growth market. The integration of RFM will increase Covestro's sales by approximately 1 billion euros and add more than 20 bases to its global production network.
Covestro predicts that by 2025, after the full integration is completed, the value created by long-term synergies will reach approximately 120 million euros per year, including approximately two-thirds of cost synergies and one-third of revenue synergies.
