Covestro’s new Texin series thermoplastic TPU works closely with Water Right to maximize garden watering hoses

The inventor of the garden watering hose in the United States is constantly committed to improving the water utilization rate and developing better performance hoses using Covestro's specific polyurethane materials. His new invention ranked among the top 100 best outdoor products in 2016 and was published in This Old House magazine, which is published in conjunction with the Emmy Awards home improvement series.

Texin series products have good elasticity, can adapt to different temperatures, do not add plasticizers and phthalic acid, and are not prone to mold. In the United States, flower gardens and residents generally use traditional hoses to water flowers and vegetable gardens. Traditional hoses are made of recycled rubber or polyvinyl chloride.

Covestro's business development manager Tim Jacobs revealed that he has worked closely with Water Right to confirm which TPU resin is the most suitable as a hose material. They have also jointly developed a low-hardness polyurethane product that can control water delivery and consistency.
