CTI-ORELIS Group Acquires CeraMem Business from Veolia Water Technologies to Collaborate on Advanced Ceramic Membrane Solutions

CTI-ORELIS Group (French Ceramic Industry Group) announced on November 9 that it has acquired and immediately began to integrate Veolia Water Technologies' CeraMem® business to collaborate on the development of advanced ceramic membrane solutions for the oil and gas industry. 

CTI-ORELIS Group CEO François Garcia said: "This acquisition is an important step for the Group. Our position in North America, especially in the United States, will be greatly strengthened, the product portfolio will be further expanded, and equipment in the global oil and gas market will also be improved . " 

Veolia's CeraMem® is located in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. CTI-ORELIS Group acquired all its assets including film production plant, personnel, patents and stocks. After the acquisition, Veolia Water Technologies will continue to use CeraMem® membranes and systems as a key partner of the French Ceramic Industry Group. 

Another motivation for the acquisition is to address the economic and environmental challenges of the oil and gas market. The proven CeraMem® membrane solution is particularly effective for the reuse and reuse of produced water and meets strict wastewater discharge standards. François Garcia added: "This acquisition is in line with our growth strategy. Although CTI-ORELIS Group's current ceramic technology is oxide-based ceramics, CeraMem® can provide expertise in silicon carbide films. The synergy between the two will speed us up The speed of development has allowed us to provide a comprehensive portfolio of products with enhanced performance worldwide to meet customer needs. " 

CTI-ORELIS Group is a global leader in membrane and filtration equipment systems, producing a wide range of tubular or flat ceramic and polymer materials for water and chemical treatment applications. CeraMem® will work closely with ClearBakk, another subsidiary of CTI-ORELIS Group, to support the development of oil sands applications and solutions. ClearBakk is headquartered in Calgary, Canada, and can provide a full range of services from initial assessment to complete plant design and manufacturing to customize the production of reliable packaged water and wastewater treatment equipment.
