As an important development, ZJLX has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with downstream silicon carbide epitaxial wafer manufacturers. Many manufacturers will preferentially select ZJLX's 6-inch silicon carbide conductive substrates. The reserved capacity for the next three years will not be less than 150,000.


The technical threshold for the manufacture of silicon carbide substrate materials is relatively high, and there are fewer manufacturers. Although CREE Company, II-VI Company and BJTK and other major silicon carbide material manufacturers in the world have arranged large-scale capacity expansion plans, silicon carbide materials are still in short supply. At present, China's silicon carbide technology companies: XMSA, BJTK, SDTY, ZJLX, ZJJS and other companies have begun to increase the production capacity of silicon carbide substrate materials.

Among them, ZJLX relies on its original technical experience in the sapphire industry to introduce the team of experts in the field of silicon carbide crystal growth research, Dr. Chen, and plans to invest 10 billion yuan to build a silicon carbide industrial park. Downstream manufacturers.


In addition, ZJJS launched a fixed increase plan last month, intending to raise 5.7 billion yuan for a number of projects such as the silicon carbide substrate wafer production base. Among them, the total investment of the silicon carbide substrate wafer production base project is 3.36 billion yuan, and the designed production capacity is 400,000 conductive and semi-insulating silicon carbide substrate wafers with a size of 6 inches and above. The company previously mainly deployed silicon carbide crystal growth furnaces, polishing machines, and epitaxial equipment. It has put into production more than 100 pilot production lines this year. It has produced 6-inch conductive silicon carbide crystals. The internal test performance is up to the standard industrial grade. It is being tested by a third party. And downstream epitaxy verification is in progress.


Silicon carbide single crystal materials are mainly divided into conductive substrates and semi-insulating substrates. They are used in new energy vehicles, photovoltaic power generation, rail transit, smart grid, aerospace, communications and other fields. Purchasing demand has gradually changed from 4 inches to 6 inches, and 8-inch products have not yet been industrialized.


According to Tony Electronics' statement on the interactive platform in September this year, the company's silicon carbide project mainly develops 6-inch conductive silicon carbide substrate materials, which are consistent with Roshow Technology's silicon carbide project products, so they are highly comparable.

The total investment of ZJLX's fund-raising project is 2.1 billion yuan, and the construction period is 24 months. It is designed to have an annual production capacity of 240,000 pieces of 6-inch conductive silicon carbide substrate materials.


The products of ZJJS's silicon carbide project include conductive and semi-insulating silicon carbide substrate wafers. The company predicts that it will achieve annual sales revenue of 2.356 billion yuan after reaching production capacity, with an average annual profit of 588 million yuan, and an internal rate of return of 14.70%. The investment payback period is 8.3 years.

"The silicon carbide market is very hot now, and capital is also very active, but in fact, no one of 6-inch conductive silicon carbide in China has really entered the industrialization stage."
