EnvisionTEC launches first DLP 3D printer with true 4K projector

EnvisionTEC released the industry's first DLP 3D printer P4K equipped with a true 4K projector, a DLP 3D printer using a 4K projector and artificial intelligence (AI). EnvisionTEC's new projector has a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, allowing Perfactory P4K to outperform other DLP 3D printers in its class. Importantly, the printer will also be compatible with the company's existing material range. Depending on the materials used, the printer will provide a dynamic Z-axis voxel resolution of 25-150 μm.

Another unique selling point of the new Perfactory series is the use of artificial intelligence, which is intelligently deployed in the pixel modulation process. According to EnvisionTEC, the use of AI helps provide "the highest precision 3D printed parts with ultra-smooth surface finish."

"P4K is the highest resolution advanced DLP printer with the largest build range and deploys artificial intelligence in pixel modulation to provide the highest precision parts and smoothest surface finishes in 3D printing space," said EnvisionTEC CEO Al Siblani said. "This will provide a higher level of production-grade 3D printing solutions." Instead of deep barrels to hold liquid resin, P4K uses shallow trays, which are filled with the exact amount of resin needed to print the model. This saves material costs.

All models support a large number of materials manufactured by EnvisionTEC, including E-dentures, an FDA-approved biocompatible material for dental applications, and E-OrthoShape, an ABS-like resin used in the dental industry.

EnvisionTEC Perfactory P4K three versions:

P4K 62: 62μm resolution and 160 x 100 x 220 mm build molding

P4K 75: 75μm resolution and 192 x 120 x 220 mm build molding

P4K 90: 90μm resolution, construction molding of 233 x 141.5 x 220 mm
