Essentium and Magigoo collaborate to launch 3D printing adhesives

Essentium has announced a collaboration with Magigoo to launch four 3D printing adhesives specifically designed for products in its material portfolio.

The Essentium 3D printing adhesive, supported by Magigoo, can be used with the heating bed of the 3D printing supplier's high-speed extrusion (HSE) platform, which can reach a temperature of 200°C. Although the temperature of the HSE printing bed is high, adhesives have been developed to hold the printed parts firmly in place during the printing process and easily release them when the printing bed cools down.

With the introduction of four heated bed adhesives, Essentium and Magigoo are able to meet the needs of a large number of customers for Essentium filaments. In addition to standard and high-temperature filament adhesives, the two companies have also developed a nylon filament adhesive specifically for Essentium's polyamide material, and a flexible filament adhesive specifically for its thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) material.

Essentium believes that adhesive products will help improve the consistency and reliability of printed parts without the use of bases, tapes or harsh chemicals, and will also launch large-size (120ml) adhesives to meet The growing demand for industrial 3D printed parts.

"The continuous innovation of the entire 3D printing ecosystem is the key to the revolutionary transition to large-scale additive manufacturing. Essentium is committed to providing a powerful platform to help manufacturers promote significant performance improvements." Co-founder and head of materials research and development of Essentium Brandon Sweeney commented, “For customers, these new adhesives can achieve high-quality printing every time, while being solvent-free and environmentally friendly.”
