Fujitsu plans to have 2,700 presidents in Europe

Today, after announcing plans to lay off 2,200 employees in the UK and Finland in Europe, Japan's Fujitsu has announced plans to lay off 500 employees in Germany. Up to now, Fujitsu will lay off 2,700 employees in Europe. It is reported that in this large-scale layoffs, the jobs will be mainly concentrated in relevant departments such as IT system operations and development services, with the aim of reducing costs and increasing the competitiveness of European operations.

At present, Fujitsu is trying to take advantage of resource reorganization opportunities to shift the company's business focus to growth areas such as the Internet of Things (IoT). The company plans to reduce the company's operating costs by transferring its software development and customer service departments to countries with cheap labor while maintaining the same size of the company. The purpose of Fujitsu's move is to increase its profitability by enhancing the competitiveness of its European business.
