German laser giant TRUMPF said recently that it has acquired all the shares in Teufel Solutions, which will take effect on August 1, 2018.
Established in 2002, Teufel Solutions is an SAP system company based in Switzerland and a development partner for TRUMPF TruTops Fab software. The manufacturing control system can be used to monitor the entire sheet metal production process, and can monitor and manage all machine operations. The system uses a modular design that allows users to gradually implement related functions.
With the acquisition of Teufel Solutions, TRUMPF has further strengthened its product portfolio in all aspects of digital connected manufacturing. TRUMPF's Chief Digital Pavilion Mathias Kammüller said: "TRUMPF has great confidence in connected manufacturing. The acquisition of Teufel Solutions further illustrates our goal of digital production. Teufel Solutions is very good at TruTops Fab and TruConnect, which is exactly what Make up for TRUMPF's shortcomings in existing Industry 4.0. "
The acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of 2018. The two parties have agreed not to disclose the specific price of the acquisition.
