Korean display testing equipment manufacturer Dong A Eltek plans to supply more OLED-related products to BJWX Optoelectronic Display Technology Group.
According to people familiar with the matter, the South Korean company signed a contract with BJWX last month for a Demura (OLED display automated visual inspection and defect correction) system of up to 20.7 billion won (approximately RMB 123 million).
Dong A Eltek has supplied Demura systems to LG Display, Huawei and Foxconn in the past.
Currently, BJWX is building its 6th generation flexible AMOLED module production line in Guangzhou. It is reported that the production line will all adopt this product provided by Dong A Eltek.
Dong A Eltek’s Demura system started contributing revenue two years ago, and currently accounts for a small percentage of the company’s total sales. However, as Chinese display manufacturers expand OLED production capacity, the South Korean company plans to ship more products to Chinese companies including BJWX between 2021 and 2022.
