According to Materialstoday on April 3, 2017] Fiber experts Ahlstrom and Munksjö Oyj Group have completed the merger of the two companies in accordance with the merger plan.
The company will create one of the world's largest specialty paper companies with annual sales of approximately 2.2 billion euros, approximately 6,200 employees, and 41 production and conversion facilities in 14 countries.
The combined company name will be changed to Ahlstrom-MunksjöOyj. Ahlstrom-Munksjö will publish its interim report from January to March 2017 on April 26, 2017, and will announce the financial information of the combined company around May 15, 2017.
In 2016, Ahlstrom and Munksjö announced their merger plans. The European Commission approved the merger between Ahlstrom and Munksjö Oyj Minsk on March 13, 2017.
