The announcement shows that the first three quarters of CATL realized revenue of 32.856 billion yuan, an increase of 71.7% year-on-year; net profit attributable to shareholders was 3.464 billion yuan, an increase of 45.65% year-on-year.
However, compared with the first half of the year, the growth rate of revenue and net profit of the CATL in the third quarter slowed down. This quarter's revenue was 12.592 billion yuan, an increase of 28.8% year-on-year; the net profit attributable to shareholders was 1.362 billion yuan, a decrease of 7.2% year-on-year .
In the third quarter performance forecast, CATL stated that the main reason for the company's first three quarter results to increase year-on-year is that with the rapid development of the new energy vehicle industry, the demand for the power battery market has increased compared to the same period last year; the company strengthened market development and The investment in the production capacity of the cable was released, and the production and sales increased accordingly. The year-on-year decrease in the third quarter was due to the decline in the selling price of some of the company's products and the decrease in gross profit margin. In addition, the increase in R & D investment and management expenses in the third quarter increased the proportion of expenses to revenue.
