Graphene conductive agent, graphene lithium battery electrode material manufacturer successfully developed CVD copper-based graphene thermal conductive film for smartphones Hay:F03GDMR

With the advent of the 5G era, the demand for heat dissipation from smart phones and other smart terminal products has further increased.

Graphene's thermal conductivity has now proven to be the best of any single material. In October 2018, Huawei introduced graphene cooling technology for the first time in its Mate 20 X release, which also opened the curtain of graphene application in smartphones.

Prior to the application of graphene cooling technology, smartphones used artificial graphite sheets to conduct heat. However, the raw material of artificial graphite sheet is polyimide film. On the one hand, the material needs to be imported and the cost is high. On the other hand, the thickness of artificial graphite sheet made of polyimide film can currently reach up to 40 microns. If it is thicker, it can only be stacked by multiple layers, and the heat conduction effect will be affected.

Compared with artificial graphite sheets, the raw materials of graphene can be domestically produced without importing. At the same time, graphene has better thermal conductivity and can be customized in thickness. For example, the thermal conductivity of single-layer graphene thermal film and multilayer artificial graphite sheet is similar, but the cost is lower and there is room for improvement.

At the same performance, graphene is cheaper, and at the same price, graphene has better performance. It is this cost-effectiveness that triggers the "resonance" of the industry chain-exactly what is most needed for competition between mobile phone manufacturers.

At the end of 2018, GDMR Graphene Technology Co., Ltd. successfully developed the carbon material graphene thermally conductive material with the highest thermal conductivity to date. Covering new material technology companies ranging from chemical method graphene preparation to high-performance thermal film production.

CVD copper-based graphene thermal conductive film

A single-layer graphene film grown on a copper substrate with few lattice defects and a large size graphene film has an electron mobility of more than 15,000 cm2 / V • s, a thermal conductivity of up to 5,300 W / m • K, and a light transmittance of 97%. Developed a high-quality, large-area graphene film production process, which is used in fields such as transistors, transparent conductive films, and semiconductor sensor devices.

"We plan to achieve a monthly production capacity of 100,000 square meters by the end of this year. Based on the supply of 100 mobile phones per square meter, we can supply 10 million mobile phones."

IDC report shows that global mobile phone shipments in 2019 were 1.371 billion, of which China's mobile phone shipments were about 370 million. With the increasing penetration of 5G mobile phones, IDC expects the market size of graphene thermal film to reach $ 2.3 billion in two to three years.

By 2022, the net profit of the GDMR light thermal film project can reach about 250 million yuan. In addition, GDMR will continue to iterate on new products in other application directions, such as graphene conductive agents and graphene masks are areas where it is developing.

GDMR is a typical technology start-up company. The entire team has not exceeded 200 people so far, but it includes 6 national thousand-person plan experts.
