Today (30 Aug,2021), the first phase of the project of “R & D and production base of high-aluminum-silicon touch screen electronic substrate and high-aluminum-silicon special functional materials” in Liangjiang New District was put into production, marking the official mass production of “made in China” high-aluminum-silicon special glass.
It is understood that “high alumino-silicon glass” as a high-end material is widely used in touch panels, smart home appliances touch screens, aviation, high-speed rail and rail trains, and the market demand is great.
The flat panel displays, automobile instrument glass, microscopes, etc. used in our daily life are mostly manufactured by ultra-thin float glass process. High aluminosilicate glass is an upgraded version of ultra-thin float glass technology, with high strength, scratch resistance, and impact resistance.
“Compared with the traditional glass on the market, the thickness of high aluminosilicate glass can be reduced to less than half that of ordinary glass, and the product is lighter and more wear-resistant,” said Jiang Hong, chief scientist of CQXJ Special Glass Co., Ltd.
It is reported that CQXJ special glass high-aluminum-silicon special glass project is a key strategic support project of the national “Twelfth Five-Year” and “13th Five-Year Plan” undertaken by CQXJ Special Glass.
The total investment of this project is 2.7 billion yuan. Two 50-ton / day aviation glass and touch screen electronic substrate production lines, one deep processing line and engineering technology center will be constructed. The investment in the first phase of the project is 1.2 billion yuan, which can achieve a production capacity of 5-6 million square meters per year and an annual output value of 800 million yuan.
We learned that after the project is put into production, it will not only break the situation that China `s electronic information industry and other key basic materials have long been constrained abroad, but also provide key basic materials for Chongqing `s established electronic information industry downstream enterprises, helping companies save more than 50% of their costs.
