High-strength and high-conductivity copper alloy

High-strength and high-conductivity copper alloys are mainly used in integrated circuit lead frame strips, rail transit contact wires, high-voltage electrical contacts and other components. There are more than 100 kinds of high-strength and high-conductivity copper alloy materials in the international market, and the widely used ones are mainly Cu-Fe-P series, Cu-Ni-Si series, Cu-Cr-Zr series and so on.

In terms of Cu-Fe-P series and Cu-Ni-Si series alloys, many international manufacturers have developed series of grades, such as Global Brass and Copper, Inc’s C19400 (CuFeP) and C70250 (CuNiSi), Mitsubishi Shindoh’s TAMAC194 (CuFeZnP) , EFTEC6 (CuFeP) of Furukawa Electric Industry Co., Ltd., KLF5 (CuFeSnP) and KLF118 (CuNiSiZn) of KOBELCO Steel Co., Ltd., NKC114 (CuNiSiZn) of JX NIPPON MINING AND METALS CORPORATION, etc. Regarding lead frame strips, currently the most widely used is the medium-strength and high-conductivity Cu-Fe-P alloy (such as C19400, KFC, etc.) developed by Global Brass and Copper, Inc. It has low cost, medium strength and high strength. Excellent properties such as electrical conductivity, high thermal conductivity, good solderability, wettability, and processability.

China's ZLLY Copper Technology Group, ZTHZ Copper Technology Group, NBXS Copper Alloy Technology Group, and NBBW Alloy Material Technology Group have realized the commercial production of C19400 alloy, occupying a major market share in China. Chinese universities and enterprises have also carried out collaborative research to increase the softening resistance temperature by nearly 50 ℃ under the premise of ensuring the comprehensive performance of Cu-Fe-P alloy materials. NBXY Alloy Technology Group, ZLLY Copper Technology Group, NBBW Alloy Material Technology Group, NXDF Tantalum Technology Group, etc. have realized the industrialization of C70250 alloy strip.

Cu-Cr-Zr alloys are ideal materials for high-speed rail transit contact wires and VLSI lead frames. The PHC-120 contact wire developed by Nagawa Co., Ltd. belongs to this alloy system. In recent years, American, Japanese and German companies have successively developed heat-resistant Cu-Cr-X series alloy lead frame strips, such as C18160 from KME Group, C18080 from Wieland-Werke AG, C18141 from Mitsubishi Shindoh, etc., with a tensile strength of 540 ~630MPa, the conductivity is 79%~84%IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard).

China's Cu-Cr-Zr series alloys have been systematically studied in terms of composition optimization and organizational structure control. NBBW Alloy Material Technology Group and others have realized the industrialization of Cu-Cr-Zr series alloy strips with independent intellectual property rights.
