Recently, Huawei Marine Networks Co., Ltd. officially announced that it will build the Maldives Sri Lanka Cable System (MSC). The MSC will promote direct links between Maldives and Sri Lanka, thereby increasing regional capacity and network diversity.
The MSC is a 4-pair optical fiber system equipped with a HMN high-output titanium shell repeater with a span of more than 130km. The project is expected to be put into use by the end of 2020 and the remaining delivery time is less than 11 months.
The project aims to promote the digital economy to bring more benefits to local communities in Maldives and Sri Lanka.
