Huntsman unveiled ACOUSTIFLEX S NBR polyurethane foam system, RUBIFLEX Cocoon flexible foam system and other products at the Foam Expo Europe

Huntsman is participating in the European Foam Expo to highlight a wide range of innovative polyurethane foam solutions focused on mobility, comfort and architectural applications.

For the mobile industry, Huntsman offers a variety of biofoam technologies. According to ASTM-D6866-12, these bio-based technologies and prepolymers are compatible with existing foam production facilities and can help automakers reach 9% bio-based content.

Recently, Huntsman introduced the ACOUSTIFLEX S NBR polyurethane foam system-a lightweight absorber (LWA), semi-rigid foam designed for engine and trunk sound insulation.

The new formulation is thermoformable for superior sound absorption and greater flexibility. Automotive experts can hear more about Huntsman foam solutions at the Foam Expo.

On Wednesday, September 11th at 11:30 am, Account Manager Acoustics and NVH Global's Johan Peters will talk about noise and vibration intensity (NVH), thermal management and sound insulation requirements for electric vehicles, and polyurethane foams in automotive design in these areas the benefits of. In comfort applications, Huntsman's RUBIFLEX Cocoon flexible foam system is used to make mattresses, pillows and cushions with the right properties. RUBIFLEX Cocoon flexible foam optimizes pressure distribution, ensures that the body is evenly supported, and transfers heat away from the body surface. For the construction industry, Huntsman has developed a new fire-resistant PIR insulation foam product for manufacturing composite panels. DaltoPIR XHFR insulation system combines thermal performance with very good fire and smoke resistance without affecting processability or durability.

Recently, Huntsman's DaltoPIR insulation system was added to the specification test list as an identified part of the FM Approval guide. This new certification will enable panel manufacturers to benefit from faster FM approval processes for their finished products.
