Idemitsu Kosan was established in 2007 in Mizenzaki, Shizuoka Prefecture, and established an OLED material plant in Paju, Gyeonggi-do, Korea, in 2012. So far, it has mainly provided materials to Korean customers.
The new base is located in Chengdu, Sichuan, and will become the third manufacturing base of Idemitsu Kogyo. It is planned to officially begin commercial production in the first quarter of 2020, with an annual capacity of 12 tons of equipment.
Idemitsu Kosan said that in recent years, more and more products, including smart phones and large-sized TVs, have begun to use OLED display panels. In China, the government vigorously promotes the revitalization policy of the display panel industry.
