INEOS Styrolution, a global leader in styrenics, launches new glass fiber reinforced ASA acrylonitrile styrene acrylate for exterior window surfaces

INEOS Styrolution, a global leader in styrenics, introduced a new ASA ("Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate") grade.

This product has excellent weather resistance and high surface quality, coupled with high dimensional stability and other characteristics, making it excellent for structural components in outdoor applications such as the outer surface of windows.

Luran S 778T G2 UV is 8% glass fiber reinforced ASA grade material. Compared to other plastic solutions, this material has clear advantages in terms of UV resistance and shrinkage.

It is the material of choice for metal-plastic assemblies and structural components for outdoor applications. The product has excellent impact strength, dimensional stability, excellent weather resistance and high surface quality among similar materials, helping to achieve excellent balance performance.

In addition, since the material is pre-colored, no painting is required.

"Encouragingly, our customers have responded positively to the material. The first applications have entered commercial production," commented Volker Pieper, industrial development manager at Styrenics Specialties EMEA.

The new Luran S 778T G2 UV has balanced product characteristics, making it suitable for various industries.
