On October 26, INVISTA's nylon 66 production base in Shanghai Chemical Industrial Park (including an annual output of 215,000 tons of hexamethylene diamine plant and an annual output of 150,000 tons of polymer plant) held a grand ceremony.
Invista Senior Vice President of Global Operations Kevin Robles said, "As the world's leading company in the entire nylon 66 value chain, INVISTA successfully built the base, using its most advanced production technology to achieve local supply, thereby satisfying Chinese and Asian customers. We are proud of the growing demand. At the same time, in accordance with our consistent commitment to the environment, health and safety, the project has achieved nearly 10 million safe working hours. "
INVISTA nylon 66 products can be used in apparel and industrial textiles, airbags, carpets, coatings and other fields. Nylon 66 is known for its high temperature resistance, impact resistance, chemical resistance and abrasion resistance. In many applications, it has obvious advantages compared with other materials traditionally used in China.
