The new material combines JSR's polymerization and hydrogenation technology to control the number of unsaturated bonds in the material.
According to foreign media reports, Japan's JSR Corporation has developed a styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber (SBR) for tires using its own synthetic technology.
Japan JSR company, synthetic rubber tires, natural rubber
JSR Corporation is a polymer chemical company in Japan. It also produces and sells products related to liquid crystal materials.
The new material combines JSR's polymerization and hydrogenation technology to control the number of unsaturated bonds in the material.
Test results show that the mechanical strength of this new type of rubber is about twice that of traditional synthetic rubber, and even exceeds that of natural rubber.
It is said that compared with traditional synthetic rubber tires, tires made of new synthetic rubber have a tread compound rubber that has increased abrasion resistance by more than 50%, and has low fuel consumption and good grip.
At the new International Elastomers Conference, JSR Corporation demonstrated this new material.
