It is reported that due to factors such as periodic maintenance of equipment by raw material suppliers, unstable production, and other factors, the supply of MMA monomer polymers for raw materials of PMMA (SUMIPEX®) is in a bottleneck state, causing MMA materials to be tight worldwide and prices rising along the way. Affected by this, Japan's Sumitomo Chemical decided to increase the price of PMMA resin products by 45 yen / kg to ensure a stable supply of PMMA.
