The company announced the launch of the first glass fiber pipe package with a thermal resistance rating of R -12: Microlite® FSK. This formaldehyde-free pipe package is designed to meet the requirements of the new IECC specification in 2015, which requires the use of R-12 insulation in unconditional spaces in climate zones 5-8.
The new 4.4-inch pipe package is the latest addition to the JM R-12 insulation product family.

Johns Manville's R-12 Microlite duct sleeves are equipped with FSK panels and are designed to help ensure a closed system, prevent moisture drive and provide condensation control. This design helps prevent damage to the insulation and surrounding areas. In addition, the material has been certified by GREENGUARD Gold.
R-12 Microlite and R-12 Linacoustic RC use a combination of JM R-12 pipe insulation materials and two high-quality insulation materials. It is the only pipe gasket and pipe winding on the market, which can provide single-layer R-12 thermal performance.
