After unanimous evaluation by the expert committee, the project passed the appraisal. The Appraisal Committee believes that the company "the overall technology of the large tow carbon fiber production process has reached the international advanced level."
In fact, since the beginning of this year, some companies have announced that they will expand their investment in the field of large tows, some have announced that they will set foot in large tows, and the new large tow project announced last year has also made new progress. Various signs indicate that large tow is becoming a new driving force for the current boom of my country's carbon fiber market.
ZGLX overcomes thousands of tons of 50K industrialization technology
ZGLX belongs to ZHGH Special Fiber Technology Group Co., Ltd. The company uses the NaSCN one-step process to produce carbon fiber precursors. It has the characteristics of short process, low energy consumption, and large single-line production capacity. It is one of the representative enterprises in China that can achieve low-cost, industrialized production of large tow carbon fibers.
Xu Lianghua, deputy dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Beijing University of Chemical Technology and director of the National Carbon Fiber Engineering Technology Research Center, is one of the “stars” in the industry. He once proposed the “thousand-ton club” concept for measuring the industrialization level of Chinese carbon fiber companies. This means that the leading company owns a single-line carbon fiber production line with a single-line capacity of 1,000 tons. In the third year of 2012, the ZGLX carbon fiber production line with an annual output of 1,500 tons was successfully commissioned. In August 2013, its 5,000-ton/year carbon fiber precursor production line was successfully commissioned and commissioned. In July 2014, after testing by Beijing University of Chemical Technology, the 12K carbon fiber produced by ZGLX reached the international quality standard of T700 of similar products. In April 2016, its 1,500 tons/year carbonization unit realized continuous production and operation. In 2018, ZGLX invested more than 100 million yuan to carry out technical transformation of the ZGLX raw silk production line, and the product was upgraded from the original 24K to 50K. In the second half of 2019, its 50K carbon fiber production line passed the entire line. Relying on the cost advantages of self-produced raw silk and the research and development advantages of Beijing Carbon Fiber Technology Research Center, the product broke through the bottleneck of China's large tow carbon fiber industrial production.
ZGLX has built a 50K large tow carbon fiber thousand-ton production line, of which, the annual production capacity of single-thread raw yarn is 4,000 tons, and the annual production capacity of carbon fiber is 1,500 tons. The product performance meets the national standard GQ3522 level, which can meet the preparation requirements of carbon fiber prepreg. The intrinsic performance and application process of the product are also comparable to similar imported products, filling the domestic market for 50K carbon fiber products.
Next, the second phase of the ZGLX project in Yiyuan County will form an industrial scale with an annual output of 50,000 tons of raw silk and 25,000 tons of carbon fiber; Manufacturing signed the "Strategic Cooperation Agreement." Next, the two parties will form long-term and comprehensive cooperation in the fields of wind power and automobiles.
