Kyocera acquires wholly owned fastener manufacturer Senco Holdings Inc

Kyocera Corporation has acquired 100% ownership of fastener tool maker Senco Holdings Inc. The company has been renamed Kyocera Senco Industrial Tools, Inc.

Senco was founded in 1948 and provides fasteners and power supply fastening parts for the residential, commercial, manufacturing and construction sectors, including pneumatic and electric staple guns, staplers, screw systems and compressors, as well as nails, staples, Screws and special fasteners.

Kyocera's acquisition of Unimerco Group in 2011 added a fastening tool product line to Europe (now Kyocera Unimerco), which will help Senco's long-term development in the fastening tools and fasteners market. Through the acquisition of Senco, Kyocera plans to increase its sales of fasteners to 400 billion yen (approximately $ 362 million) by March 31, 2021.
