Lamborghini uses thermal shape memory alloy materials to improve the thermal performance of the car under different conditions

Considering that this is the first hybrid car of the Italian brand, the Lamborghini Sian is not like other Lamborghini sports cars. Sian Roadster is equipped with the same 819 horsepower as cars and sports cars, and its appearance is more eye-catching. At present, cars and sports cars have been unveiled, Lamborghini is in-depth study of the details of Sian cars, these details make it unique. This week, Lamborghini shared a technology called "Smart Material System" that can improve the thermal performance of cars under different conditions.

The system works by using a shape memory alloy. When the temperature of the hood rises above a certain point, the alloy will automatically activate the four dampers above the engine. It is said that this metal has a thermal memory function and its chemical structure changes with temperature. But why use a seemingly unnecessary complex system? “Because it does not require hydraulic, electric or mechanical drives, it can reduce weight,” explained Ugo Riccio, head of aerodynamics for Sian Coupes and Roadsters. “This system is fully automated and does not require electronic equipment.”

This technology is advanced, and Lamborghini plans to expand its use to other vehicle components in the future. Project leader Paolo Mazzelli stated: "These materials will be further integrated into other new and unpredictable functions in both passive and active ways, and these functions will be disclosed in time." Of course, cars like Sian must have the best With its engine cooling system, it can reach a speed of 62 mph in less than three seconds. In addition, this technology is also very cool, and very suitable for high-end cars such as Sian.
