LANXESS subsidiary Bond Laminates GmbH is increasing the production capacity of Tepex brand continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites. LANXESS is currently building a fourth production center of approximately 1,500 square meters at its Brilon plant.
The other two production lines are scheduled to be commissioned in mid-2019. The company has produced innovative composites for the automotive, electrical, and sports industries at a production center of approximately 5,000 square meters. With this expansion, Bond-Laminates will create up to 30 new jobs.
New high-performance plastic production plant
LANXESS Performance Materials is also investing in its global high-performance plastics production network, and is further building a production facility at its Krefeld-Uerdingen plant. LANXESS will produce Durethan and Pocan engineering plastics for the automotive, electrical and electronics industries. In addition, warehouse and silo facilities will be built. The investment will create approximately 20 new jobs at the Krefeld-Uerdingen plant.
