As the only company in China with R & D and manufacturing technology of high-generation LCD substrate glass and high-end cover glass, 3,387 people from five companies under the CHJT Group insist on continuous production during the Spring Festival, breaking the bottleneck of G8.5 + LCD substrate glass technology. The successful roll-out of 0.5mm products marks a key step in the development of the high-generation substrate glass industry in China, and will lay a decisive foundation for independent research and development of core materials for the national flat panel display industry.
It is understood that electronic glass is one of the key raw materials for display devices such as liquid crystal panels. At present, China has put into production and construction 34 production lines of more than 6 generations of LCD panels. The industrial investment scale is about 1.5 trillion yuan, accounting for more than 50% of global shipments. It is concentrated in mainland China, but electronic glass, the core raw material of the industrial chain, is still highly dependent on imported and foreign-funded enterprises, and the localization rate is less than 5%.
It is worth mentioning that Rainbow high-end cover glass products have been certified and used in batches by first-tier brands such as Huawei, and the production line in January has been operating steadily.
