Taiwanese vertically integrated LED maker Longda Electronics will launch a series of Mini LED backlight and display products. These upcoming MiniLED products will include thin Mini LED panels for panel backlights, Mini RGBLED packages for small-pitch display billboards, and next-generation UFP (ultra-fine-pitch) I-Mini RGB display modules. Longda Electronics claims that the I-Mini RGB display module has once again raised the limit of display resolution.
It is reported that Ronda Electronics plans to showcase its latest Mini LED products and technologies at Touch Taiwan 2018.
Longda Electronics said that the Mini LED products released this time will be used for backlight applications and RGB display billboard applications. In the field of backlighting, the company will showcase Mini LED products for 32-inch and 15.6-inch panels. The company's 32-inch Mini LED divides the backlight into 384 control areas to achieve a high dynamic contrast of HDR 1000 nits. Longda Electronics said that its unique wide color gamut of LED technology can achieve panel color performance of more than 95% of the NTSC color gamut. At present, batch shipments have been realized, which are mainly used in sports field displays and high-end graphic displays.
In addition, another 15.6-inch Mini LED backlight product uses Ronda's advanced thin Mini LED panel, which divides the LED backlight into 240 control areas. According to Londa, these control areas enable the display to perfectly display any detail in the dark; at the same time, the use of special optical configurations can greatly reduce the thickness of the panel to obtain a mixed light area smaller than 0.5 mm ( OD).
The Ronda series of advanced thin-film backlit Mini LED panels can achieve high contrast, wide color gamut and thin profile. It can be used in high-end notebook computers, sports displays and automotive panels.
In addition to the above products, Ronda Electronics also announced that it will launch Mini LED products for RGB display billboard applications. These products include 0404 and 0606 size Mini RGB LED packages, and Ultra Fine Pitch I-Mini (integrated mini) RGB display module, which is very suitable for indoor and outdoor RGB LED billboards. Among them, UFP I-Mini RGB display can directly convert The RGB micro mold is transferred to the display driver circuit board.
The news shows that Ronda Electronics has integrated the control loop with traditional SMT components and UFPCSP chip-scale packaging technology. By using the LED display mold, the UFP I-Mini RGB display module can achieve a minimum pitch of 0.3mm, thereby achieving smoother image quality with higher brightness and contrast.
