On October 16, 2018, The Lubrizol Corporation announced the commencement of commercial supply of Carboset® CR-3100 acrylic copolymer emulsion. Carboset CR-3100 is designed to provide protection and adhesion to metal substrates in low VOC formulations.
Carboset CR-3100 is an aqueous styrene-acrylic emulsion that is ideally suited for direct metal coatings. The polymer has excellent adhesion to various metal surfaces, and has excellent chemical and corrosion resistance. In light and medium industrial applications, only a single layer of coating is required to achieve superior performance. Carboset CR-3100 can be formulated with different gloss levels to make the coating extremely aesthetic and durable.
