Lubrizol Shows Estane 3D Eco TPU for 3D Printing at Rapid TCT 2019

The Lubrizol Corporation Announces that its Lubrizol Engineering Materials Business Unit will showcase its specialty materials for 3D printing (3DP) technology and the latest Estane® 3D Eco TPU product grade: a grade from a renewable source, of which 30% Above bio-based content. Lubrizol will showcase this product at Rapid TCT 2019 in Detroit, Michigan from May 21 to 23, 2019.

Lubrizol Engineering Polymers has introduced Estane® 3d TPU F95A-030 BR ECO, a UV-stabilized thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) with a Shore A hardness of 95A and processed through molten filament manufacturing (FFF). It offers differentiated value to designers looking for a high-performance polymer with higher flexibility, thin walls, transparency, and excellent interlayer adhesion properties. This new level complements the existing commercial Estane 3D TPU portfolio, which has evolved in close cooperation with customers to cover a wide range of 3D printing applications in the automotive, dental, sports and industrial sectors.

David Pascual, Global 3D Printing Marketing Manager, Lubrizol, said, "Estane® 3d Eco TPU is part of our strategy to build an FFF product portfolio based on customer and market demand, ensuring prototypes and mass production reach the same or higher levels, and enabling new Performance. We will continue to work to increase our polymer portfolio for 3D printing. "

In addition to the new FFF grades, Lubrizol is also developing a full range of TPU solutions for different 3D printing technologies, such as selective laser sintering (SLS), high speed sintering (HSS), and HP® Multi-Nozzle Fusion (TM) (MJF).
