Mearthane Products Corporation (MPC) announced that it has completed the acquisition of Polyurethane Molding Industry Co., Ltd. (PMI). Headquartered in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, PMI is a provider of reactive injection molding (RIM) and finishing services for custom parts. The acquisition of PMI is the fifth acquisition in three years after the company acquired Creative Urethanes Inc. in Winchester, Virginia in October 2018.
PMI's expertise in polyurethane reactive injection molding and surface treatment of custom parts makes it a major supplier of various medical devices, banks and electronic products. MPC President Pete Kaczmarek said: "PMI's reactive injection molding business will expand our existing capabilities. Excellent precision painting and finishing processes will be used for rigid materials for cabinets, housings and other structural components. After the acquisition is completed, PMI President Len Strapponi will join the MPC team as director of RIM business and process development.
