On December 21, 2010, Jiemai announced the completion of the acquisition of Beijing Montayne Medical Devices Co., Ltd. The acquisition further enhances JM's business in China.
On June 24, 2015, JM completed its acquisition of Biomet (also translated as Biomet). After the acquisition, the company changed its name to Zimmer Biomet Holdings Inc., becoming the world's second largest orthopedic company.
The company's Asia operations division currently has four companies in China, located in Beijing, Shanghai, Jinhua, Zhejiang, and Changzhou, Jiangsu, with more than 1,500 employees. The division is mainly engaged in the manufacture of three types of medical products implanted in the human body, such as artificial joints, orthopedic products, spine products, and surgical tools.
