Nano cemented carbide technology won the prize Hay:A04HNBY

Recently, the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and the China Nonferrous Metals Association announced the list of winners of the “2022 China Nonferrous Metals Industry Science and Technology Award”:

 

Among them, the “key technology and application of large-scale preparation of high-performance nano cemented carbide” developed by HNBY Cemented Carbide Technology Group won the “first prize of China Nonferrous Metal Industry Science and Technology Award”.

 

The R&D team led by CTO Dr. Huang [academician of the CAE Member] of the company, after years of continuous research, has conquered the key technology of large-scale preparation and application of high-performance nano cemented carbide, and has successfully achieved industrialization.

In 2016, HNBY, together with Central South University of China, Tsinghua University and WOLF of Germany, continued to carry out joint research on key technologies and applications of large-scale preparation of high-performance nano cemented carbide on the basis of the “National 863 Plan”.

 

HNBY innovation team and others have successfully developed the world’s leading large-scale preparation technology and application technology of high-performance nano cemented carbide, built the scientific database of thermodynamics and thermophysical properties of cemented carbide, and realized the mass production of high-performance nano cemented carbide series materials.

 

 

After years of continuous research and research, HNBY R&D team has conquered the key technology of large-scale preparation and application of high-performance nano cemented carbide, and successfully realized industrialization, breaking the monopoly of foreign enterprises on high-end cemented carbide.

 

According to the test of the British National Physical Laboratory, the main component of the high-performance nano-carbide alloy, the average grain size of tungsten carbide is only 0.11 μ m, the hardness can reach 2060HV30, and the bending strength can reach 5710 MPa. The performance index is at the international leading level.

 

This kind of new material has been successfully applied to the efficient and precise machining of hard-to-process materials such as printed circuit boards, light and high-strength composite materials in the aviation industry, superalloys, titanium alloys, etc., which has improved the tool processing efficiency and reduced the processing cost.
