New President for Amcor Rigid Plastics Eric Roegner Succeeds Mike Schmitt

Amcor Corporation has recently decided to be Eric Roegner as president of the Amcor Rigid Plastics Division of Michigan, USA. This is because he has extensive experience in leading and developing large-scale, multi-regional businesses. He has held executive leadership positions at Arconic Corporation (formerly known as Alcoa Corporation) for 12 years. Arconic's business is to develop and manufacture a variety of materials and components for customers in the aerospace, automotive, commercial transportation, packaging and other industries. Recently, Roegner has been identified as the Executive Vice President and Group President of Arconic's Engineering Products and Solutions Development Division, valued at $ 6 billion.

Since taking office in June 2011, Mike Schmitt has led Amcor Hard Plastics to grow step by step. After the transition period, he will also become Executive Vice President of Amcor Limited. In the meantime, Schmitt will continue to manage the Bericap North American joint venture, and will continue to provide executive sponsorship to certain Amcor customers worldwide. More importantly, he will leverage his past 25 years of flexible packaging experience to integrate the previously announced Bemis acquisition plan.

Schmitt and Roegner will report to Amcor CEO Ron Delia and serve on Amcor's global management team.
