On November 19, 2018, the new SLS machine launched by Swiss machine maker Sintratec met the obvious demand for peripherals / auxiliary equipment in the 3D printing industry, promising to "print, unload and prepare" in one system.
The system is named Sintratec S2, and SLS 3D printing is completed by the modular material core unit, material handling station, blasting station and polishing station. Together, these units facilitate clean and safe post-processing of 3D printed prototypes and can be expanded to meet demand.

Powder processing in Sintratec S2
Sintratec S2's laser sintering station (LSS) provides cylindrical print volumes with shorter print times due to shorter machine preparation times. At present, the detailed technical specifications of LSS are not available, but the unit size is 1500 × 1,000 × 750 meters (height x width x depth), and the system promises “eight controlled heating zones” and “precise laser scanning system”.
Located below the LSS, Sintratec has the S2 Material Core Unit (MCU), which can be used to load powder in the build chamber. The MCU has two built-in powder circulators for quick layer changes.
Adjacent to the LSS and MCU units is the Sintratec S2 Material Handling Station (MHS). This post-processing station is connected to the vacuum powder management system Sintratec Vortex Unit, which can easily remove excess powder and recycle it.

In addition to the powder processing unit, Sintractec 2 is equipped with two post-processing stations.
The Sintratec blasting station generates a working pressure of 2.8-8 bar, which can quickly create the surface quality of SLS workpieces.
In addition, the Sintratec polishing table is a magnetic flip switch used to smooth the surface of objects and seal surface impurities. The Sintratec polishing station is a compact automatic device with a working speed of 2,800 rpm.
