Nippon Seisen develops ultra-high-strength stainless steel wire for medical devices
Nippon Seisen has developed the ultra-high-strength stainless steel wire "Ha-キュリ EH" (EH: Extra Hard) for medical devices and established a production system for Φ0.10~0.35mm steel wire.
Nippon Seisen’s existing "Ha-キュリ" is a well-known steel wire used for applications requiring high strength and high corrosion resistance. However, with the progress of miniaturization of electronic products, in-vehicle information devices, and medical equipment, the requirements for thinner diameter and higher strength of raw steel wire are very urgent. Nippon Seisen adopts advanced processing technology to precisely control the amount of strain-induced martensite in Ha-キュリ, so that the tensile strength of the steel wire can reach the level of Class B piano wire. And its total cost (including post-processing costs such as rust prevention) is more competitive than piano wire.
The application development field of Ha-キュリ EH is various fields that cannot meet the requirements, such as the strength characteristics of Ha-キュリ, the corrosion resistance of class B piano wire, and the elastic attenuation of thermal load.
