Nisshin Steel has developed a Nb-containing wear-resistant steel plate with hard Nb carbides dispersed in the steel plate and significantly improved wear resistance. Generally, the purpose of adding Nb to steel is to improve the toughness and corrosion resistance of steel. It is the first in the special steel industry to improve the wear resistance of special steel plates using Mi's hard particles of Nb carbides. The developed Nb-containing wear-resistant steel plate has the characteristics of flexibility during processing and toughness after heat treatment, and can be widely used in mechanical parts and tools. The hardness of the developed Nb-containing wear-resistant steel plate after heat treatment is 600-700HV.
The newly developed Nb-containing wear-resistant steel plate and the existing alloy tool steel and high-manganese steel form a new brand of special steel "タフスタ" with excellent wear resistance. The creation of the new brand "タフスタ" has increased the recognition of Nisshin Steel's special steel with unique properties and differentiated it from other special steel companies.
