On August 5, Nuance Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: NUAN), the world's leading conversational artificial intelligence company, announced that it would name the spin-off automotive business company Cerence, Inc. On October 1, 2019, the new company's brand will be officially launched and it will be separated from Nuance as the automotive business. At that time, as an independent public company, Cerence, Inc. will focus on the next generation of automotive software and use it as a core to enable future mobility. The new company will be led by industry veteran Sanjay Dhawan.

Cerence is a new name and word, not only has a strong visual effect, its meaning is a more subtle combination of intelligence (intelligence), experience (experience), calmness (serenity) and control (control). Cerence's font design is smooth and consistent, and the pronunciation is clear: "Cer" rhymes with Air, and "ence" is similar to sense.
