OLEDWorks, a leading OLED lighting panel company, recently announced that it has launched Wave, the world's first commercial flexible glass OLED lighting platform.
The new product, named Wave, is part of OLEDWorks' LumiCurve product line made from Corning's Willow Glass, an ultra-thin flexible glass. According to OLEDWorks, Corning's Willow Glass inherent seal barrier features provide flexible surface lighting without compromising the durability and service life of OLED panels. At the same time, OLEDs can also provide a natural diffuse light source without glare.
The company states that Wave has an ultra-thin feather profile and excellent lighting capabilities, enabling the design excellence of applications ranging from architectural lighting to transportation.
Dave DeJoy, Executive Chairman of OLEDWorks, said: "It is a great honour to partner with Corning to bring our LumiCurve Wave to the market. The outstanding light quality and excellent color rendering provided by Wave are also the unique performance of OLED. We always hope that we OLED light engines can be extremely successful, and change the industry's perception of traditional lighting applications through their applications. We believe Wave can do all this. "
