OmniVision launches new image sensors for industrial and IoT

OmniVision recently launched two new 2 micron image sensor series products based on OmniBSI pixel technology, the OS02F10 and OS04B10, at the China International Expo in Beijing. Expanded 2 micron series of sensors, cost-effective, high-performance 2 megapixel and 3.6 megapixel sensors, and has a space-saving optical format, suitable for industrial and IoT fields.

Both sensors use the industry's most cost-effective Back Side Illumination solution and provide high-definition image quality specifically for entry-level IoT, industrial, commercial, and residential security surveillance cameras.

"Previously, entry-level IoT security surveillance cameras only used front-illuminated image sensors and did not take full advantage of these cameras," said Brian Fang, director of business development at OmniVision. "Using our latest OS02F10 and OS04B10 image sensors, even residential security surveillance cameras no longer have to worry about sacrificing performance because they want to achieve a price-to-price ratio. The compact OmniBSI pixel architecture successfully reduces pixel crosstalk and improves image quality It ’s better. "

The OS02F10 and OS04B10 image sensors have excellent low light sensitivity, which can produce high-quality digital images and high-definition video even in poor lighting conditions. This is crucial in the field of security monitoring. The sensor's 9-degree principal light angle (CRA) enables precise, silent monitoring of thin modules with wide-angle lenses. OS02F10 is a 2-megapixel (MP) sensor that supports 1080p (1920×1080) resolution video at a frame rate of 30 frames per second. The ultra-compact sensor comes in a unique 1 / 4-inch optical format and a 4.9×3.0 mm chip scale package (CSP). Its high quantum efficiency (QE) reduces the requirements for IR lighting, enabling low power consumption and longer camera battery life. OS02F10 itself consumes less than 120mW.

OS04B10 is used in areas where a wider range of monitoring is required. OS04B10 has a 360-megapixel resolution, supports 2K (2560×1440) resolution video streams, and a frame rate of 30 frames per second. The sensor is characterized by its unique 1 / 3-inch optical format and 6.3×3.7mm chip scale package (CSP) technology. OS04B10 consumes less than 140mW, and high quantum efficiency effectively reduces system power consumption.
