PolyOne announced that it will begin production of special engineering materials at the Puna plant in the western Indian city in January 2017. Initial production will involve special engineering polymer materials for high-performance applications that can meet flame retardancy, high strength and durability, hardness, chemical resistance, and weather resistance.
PolyOne specially hired sales and technical staff with a background in special engineering materials in India and cooperated with local customers to accelerate the time to market.
PolyOne opened a new factory in Pune, India in 2014, mainly producing colorants and additives to serve end market transportation, electronics, healthcare, wire and cable and packaging services.
