Polyplastics launches improved version of PBT to improve performance of high-pressure automotive components

In high temperature and humid environment, the performance of PBT material has hardly changed. Therefore, Polyplastics believes that they are more suitable for use in high-pressure environments than PA66. These results show that when the environment changes, the use of PBT can reduce changes in electrical performance.

Duranex PBT CG7030 has high form stability. Polyplastics claims that the moisture absorption rate and deformation rate of PBT materials are about one tenth of PA66-GF33%.

In addition, the test results show that Duranex PBT CG7030 can maintain dielectric breakdown strength in high temperature and humid environments (85oC / 85% RH, after 1000 hours). However, the strength of PA66-GF33% in the same environment decreased by about 40%.

Compared with PA66-GF33%, the volume resistivity of Duranex PBT CG7030 has also been improved. Under the environment of high temperature and high humidity, the volume resistivity of PA66-GF33% decreases significantly.
